Be Different365 Foundation provides individuals and organisations with the tools to drive impactful initiatives swiftly. Harness the strength of collective action to accelerate meaningful community impact. Since our inception, Be Different365 Foundation has made a significant difference in the lives of over 2000 Croydon children and parents. We provide a blend of weekly virtual and non-virtual engagements, along with participation in HAF Croydon and Department for Education-sponsored holiday programmes. These programmes cater specifically to children who receive free school meals, ensuring they have access to enriching activities during breaks.

At Be Different365 Foundation, we believe in unlocking the potential within every child, parent, and adult who feels left out or giving up on themselves.

Since June 15, 2019, our journey began as an ABCD community project. Fueled by a shared passion for empowering underprivileged children and families in Croydon, we received enthusiastic support from a dedicated ABCD community builder. The Home-Start Croydon Management Team also played a pivotal role by providing a venue to kickstart our initiative.

The Be Different365 Foundation is dedicated to helping children, young people, and parents in low-income households thrive and reach their full potential. We achieve this by:

·         Identifying Purpose: We guide individuals in discovering their unique strengths and aspirations.

·         Developing Social Skills: We foster essential social skills for positive interaction and relationship building.

·         Promoting Joyful Inspiration: We cultivate a positive and encouraging environment that sparks creativity and motivation.

·         Encouraging Talent Development: We provide opportunities for individuals to explore and refine their talents.

·         Building Resilience: We equip individuals with the tools they need to overcome challenges and become confident role models.

While we are currently bootstrapped, increased funding will allow us to expand our impact. Our long-term vision involves:

·         Knowledge & Skill Development: We aim to continually enhance our team's expertise and refine our methods to create more impactful initiatives for our participants.

·         Community Expansion: We envision reaching a wider range of families within the community and supporting them on their journey to success.

·         Long-Term Support: Our 10-year vision includes ongoing support to past and present participants as they pursue their goals. This encompasses issuing scholarships, aiding in talent development, establishing business ventures that promote parental financial independence, and offering outreach programmes with valuable skill-building opportunities that benefit both Be Different365 and those we serve.

Meet the Team and Volunteers

Be Different365 Foundation is driven by a passionate team of professionals with diverse backgrounds and expertise, including:

·         Victoria Kamara: CEO/Founder/Director of programmes, Business Analyst, Research and Development Lead, Project Management, Asset-Based Community Development expert with over 10 years of experience in community development work-supporting people’s passions and other organisations’ growth and development.

·         Mr Carl Quist: Co-Founder/ Innovation Strategist and Treasurer, with experience in Science, Innovation, and technical research. Certified Gas and Electric Engineer Specialist UK.

·         Emma Kemevor: Safeguarding Manager and Steering Committee Lead, with experience in children and adult social care (NHS Trained Staff).

·         Barry Sey: Secretary and Communication Manager, with expertise in Legal, Ethics, and CSR.

. Diana Carberry: Chairperson and Project Manager with a background in Accounting and Finance management.

·         Additional Team Members: Parent Coordinator, Volunteer Coordinator, Trustees
